Cuban Heritage

Ilian was born and grew up in Camaguey, Cuba's third-largest city and the capital of Camaguey Province. Founded in 1514, its symbol is a tinajón or clay pot. Local legend is that if you drink water from a "tinajón", you will meet a Camagüeyana girl, fall in love with her and never leave. Its old city resembles a maze, with narrow, short streets always turning in one direction or another. The current city has over 330,000 inhabitants.

Kankaanpää is a picturesque town with 12,000 residents, known for its arts scene and strong sense of community.
